Los Angeles Jobs for MCSE 2016 certified admins

Microsoft has been in the business of vendor certification since the late 1990s.  Microsoft NT, the MCSE versions 2003, 2008 and 2012along with the various versions of other Microsoft products have continued to advance with the technology.

In 2016, Microsoft released their latest version of the Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or MCSE.

The 2016 version of the MCSE placed detailed emphasis on the cloud with special emphasis on cyber-security.  In Los Angeles, I recently searched for network administrator jobs, which required the MCSE certification.  After researching Indeed and, Dice.com and Monster the search turned up 3,000 available jobs.  These jobs were in both the profit and non-profit areas of the economy.  Companies that I wouldn’t believe appeared on this list needing a network administrator were advertising for this position.

Many readers have asked me why they should obtain the MCSE 2016.  Many companies are moving a portion of their network services to the cloud.  For example, the cloud is an excellent solution for company emails.  Companies who have their mail exchange server off their facility save countless hours of time and money.  The MCSE 2016 will prepare a candidate to perform this operation.

Other organizations that need 99.9% up time will elect to store their company databases in the cloud.  Holders of the MCSE 2016 will understand the security implications of such a move along with the correct questions to ask a cloud provider before making the final transfer. 

The MCSE 2016 also includes the basic skills, which includes server installation, server backup plus recovery, Microsoft Security and how to create an efficient active directory, which includes a comprehensive list of all resources on a network.

The MCSE 2016 has extensive training, which shows clients how to read log and event files, which will provide a strong warning if someone is considering doing harm to a particular network.

The MCSE 2016 will teach network administrators how to integrate Microsoft’s operating system with a Linux system, which may be operating on the same network through virtual software. 

Students who obtain the MCSE for 2016 can apply for jobs as junior level network administrators, senior level network administrator for some companies, network analysts and perhaps a management position with respect to a help desk.  My research has turned up these interesting job titles.

Before obtaining the MCSE, students should have a strong knowledge of the basic computer.  This knowledge is best obtained by obtaining CompTIA’s A+ before attempting to take the MCSE 2016 courses.

The MCSE 2016 has five courses and certification exams, which are completed in six months.  Holders of the MCSE have a strong knowledge of corporate servers and how to integrate those servers with an individual computer, which is called a work station. In addition many students can increase their salary by obtaining the Cisco Certified Network Associate after they get that MCSE.  Cisco’s certificate often means a promotion or increase in salary.
